National Science Week 2022

Celebrate National Science Week with Snowy Hydro!

To celebrate National Science Week’s theme ‘Glass: more than meets the eye’ Snowy Hydro STEM experts with a passion for renewables are hosting a panel discussion for school students in stages 3 – 6.

Join our virtual Q&A session on 18 August 2022 at 10am. The discussion will be led by Snowy Hydro graduate engineers as they tackle students’ questions submitted about renewable energy, the science behind the Snowy Scheme and career pathways in STEM. This is a great opportunity for students to explore how solar fits into the big picture for renewable energy and Snowy Hydro’s energy mix!

We are asking students to submit their questions spotlighting renewable energy, the science behind the Snowy Scheme and career pathways in STEM.

What kinds of questions could you ask our experts?

  • How does Snowy 2.0 underpin a renewable future?
  • Why should I study STEM subjects?
  • How does solar, wind and hydro work together?
  • What made you want to work for Snowy Hydro?
  • How did you know you wanted to be an engineer?
  • Does Snowy Hydro contract wind and solar?

Who will your students’ be hearing from?

In your school’s RSVP email please include how many students will be attending, their year level/s as well as your school name.
