Community Insights Campaign

Help shape the future of your community!

For 75 years, Snowy Hydro has played an important role in Australia’s energy landscape, leading the way in the transition to a renewable energy future. Throughout its proud history, Snowy Hydro has remained committed to supporting the communities where the Snowy Scheme operates.

We are hosting a community insights campaign to better understand the impacts of the Snowy 2.0 project on our local communities.

Snowy Hydro wants our community, customers, and key stakeholders to help shape our current and future initiatives.

Have your say! We want to hear from you.

The survey is open from: 2 April to 5 May 2024

The survey is open to those over 18 years of age and who reside in the Snowy Mountains and surrounding regions.

The survey will ask 33 questions in four categories and take approximately 12 minutes to complete.

Those who complete the survey will be entered into a draw to win a trip to visit Lobs Hole, one the Snowy 2.0 project sites.

The campaign is being conducted by a third-party, Struber, on Snowy Hydro’s behalf to ensure transparency.

Why is Snowy Hydro undertaking this campaign?

Snowy Hydro has commissioned a community insights campaign to better understand the social impacts of the Snowy 2.0 project and inform our social impact strategy.

The online survey will gather local views from those who reside across the Snowy Mountains and beyond. The survey asks about your personal experiences and opinions regarding the impacts of the Snowy 2.0 project on the community and the regions – both positive and negative. We also want to know how you would like to see Snowy Hydro support these impacts and what you think is most important.

We will enhance our community support by better understanding how our local community members view Snowy Hydro, the Snowy 2.0 project, and our work.

When is Snowy Hydro undertaking this campaign?

We are having conversations with community members between March and May 2024 to help inform Snowy Hydro’s future community engagement and social impact work.
