In 2024, we conducted a Community Insights Campaign to better understand the social impacts of the Snowy 2.0 project and how our communities would prefer we engage with them

Through an online survey, one-on-one interviews and focus groups, a third party, Struber spoke to residents, stakeholders and interested parties to share their perspectives and help shape the future of their communities. A series of focus groups, one-on-one meetings, phone surveys and community pop-up stalls will support the online survey.
You can view the summary of the findings, along with the full report below.

FAQs

Do I need to register?

Registration is encouraged so we can plan for numbers and update you if session details change.

Why should I attend a session?

These sessions give you the chance to learn more about Snowy Hydro’s operations and the Snowy 2.0 project. It is also your opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions.

Who can attend?

Everyone is welcome to attend. Whether you live or work in the region we encourage you to be part of the conversation.

What if I can’t attend?

If you can’t make it, there are other ways to have your say. Contact us at community@snowyhydro.com.au for a feedback form. We also host pop-up kiosks and one-on-one stakeholder conversations.

Will there be future sessions?

Yes, as a minimum we hold two rounds of community information sessions per year. We also regularly attend local festivals and events, as well as host pop-up kiosks and drop-in sessions in towns across the Snowy Mountains.

How is community feedback used?

Community feedback plays an important role in shaping Snowy Hydro’s approach and help us to make better decisions. Every piece of feedback is carefully considered and valued.

I can’t attend an evening session. Is there another opportunity to talk in person?
