The Science of Snowy Competition
STUDENTS OF THE SNOWY MOUNTAINS - SHARE WITH US YOUR FAVOURITE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY OR ENGINEERING FACT ABOUT THE SNOWY SCHEME!
To celebrate National Science Week 2017, Snowy Hydro is running "The Science of Snowy" competition for school children in Years 3-6. In words, pictures or a video tell us your favourite science, technology or engineering fact about the Snowy Scheme.
Visit our Discovery Centres, explore our website or visit your local school library to learn more about how Snowy Hydro operates today to generate electricity and keep the lights on.
Winners will get two tickets to a behind the scenes tour of the Scheme and a visit to one of our power stations. The winning and highly commended entries will receive have their entries displayed in our Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre in Cooma.
HOW TO ENTER:
Get creative and share with us your favourite Snowy fact in words, pictures or a video. Entries will be open from Monday 14 August 2017 until 5pm on Friday 22 September 2017.
Ask your parent or guardian to send your entry to:

Terms and Conditions
*Eligibility: Open to students enrolled in years 3-6 in all primary schools in the Snowy Valleys Council or Snowy Monaro Regional Council regions, who submit an entry telling us their favourite Snowy Hydro Scheme fact in words, pictures or a video. Competition Period: 8am AEST on 14.08.17 to 5pm AEST on 22.09.17. Prize: Winners each win 2 tickets for a behind the scenes Snowy Hydro scheme tour. Judging and Notification: there will be 8 winners (4 winners from years 3/4 and 4 winners from years 5/6), entries will be judged based on the judging criteria and winners will be announced by no later than 23.10.17 via Snowy Hydro’s webpage at www.snowyhydro.com.au/our-scheme/nswk2017, and by email.
