As part of the project works undertaken at Jindabyne Dam to allow for increased environmental water flows to the Snowy River, Snowy Hydro Limited constructed a 1.1 megawatt mini hydro power station.

This mini hydro power station utilises some of the environmental water flows to generate clean, renewable electricity.

The mini hydro power station is GreenPower accredited and will save around 5500 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year that could otherwise be produced by coal burning power stations.
